For hopefully that last time ever, Central students, staff, and parents walked from HMS to the Lincoln Campus for Walk to School Day.
I wanted to take a moment of time to recognize some phenomenal support and say thanks to the folks who made today’s Central Walk to School event happen.
Central School’s Parent Council for organizing Walk to School Day. This small but mighty group is constantly working behind the scenes to help us and never gets enough thanks for the work they do.
Steve Thennis, Rob Loveridge, Linda Paull, Scott Evans, and Lindsey Day at HHS for encouraging HHS students to walk with us. As a former HHS teacher, this support means a great deal to me. Thanks for supporting Central Tigers.
The HHS students who walked with us. The moment was simple, but I don’t think anyone has any idea of how much such a simple act will impact these young students. They will remember walking with the band and athletes for the rest of their lives. Thanks to each student who took time out of their busy day to spend it with us.
Central Parents, Staff, and Students for taking a little time to walk as a community on Walk to School Day. Learning a,b,c’s and 1, 2, 3’s is important, but that work can be very difficult to accomplish without community support. Central School has performed well under some stressful conditions over the last five years. We could not have thrived over that period of time without the support from our school community.
Once again, thanks for your time today.
